This programme is a profile of Free Rob Cannabis, a Glastonbury resident and shopkeeper. Free Rob began his campaign to legalise cannabis in London where he set up CHIC (Cannabis and Hemp Information Club), the Free Medical Marijuana Foundation, as well as opening Britain's first Cannabis Museum. Following a move to Glastonbury, he opened a shop, In Harmony With Nature. This programme follows Free Rob as he offers himself for arrest following the distribution of free cannabis in Hyde Park, as well as exploring the medical use of cannabis, and the controversy surrounding his first entry into the Glastonbury In Bloom Competition. The 'live' sound used in this programme was originally recorded in London by Jamie Lowe, during at least two different demonstrations. Programme Date: April '99 |
