Geoffrey Ashe has lived in Glastonbury for many years. He is author of 'King Arthur's Avalon', an influential study of its history and traditions. He has also written a number of books on the Arthurian legend and other topics. One of the best known is 'Mythology of the British Isles'. A forthcoming title is 'The Book of Prophecy'. He was co-founder and secretary of the Camelot Research Committee which excavated Cadbury Castle, the reputed site of Camelot, and has held visiting professorships at several American and Canadian universities.
